350 Madison

350 Madison is the local action group of the climate movement-building organization 350.org.  We're helping build the people powered movement to solve the climate crisis.

Alliance for Educational Justice

Alliance for Educational Justice is a new national alliance of youth organizing and intergenerational groups working for educational justice. AEJ aims to bring grassroots groups together to bring about changes in federal education policy, build a national infrastructure for the education justice sector, and build the capacity of our organizations and our youth leaders to sustain and grow the progressive movement over the long haul.

Family Farm Defenders

Our mission is to create a farmer-controlled and consumer-oriented food and fiber system, based upon democratically controlled institutions that empower farmers to speak for and respect themselves in their quest for social and economic justice. To this end, FFD supports sustainable agriculture, farm worker rights, animal welfare, consumer safety, fair trade, and food sovereignty.  FFD has also worked to create opportunities for farmers to join together in new cooperative marketing endeavors and to bridge the socioeconomic gap that often exists between rural and urban communities.

International Socialist Organization

The International Socialist Organization has branches across the country. Our members are involved in helping to build a number of struggles: the movement to stop the war on Iraq, fights against racism and anti-immigrant scapegoating, the struggle for women's rights like the right to choose abortion, opposing anti-gay bigotry, and standing up for workers' rights. We are committed to building a left alternative to a world of war, racism and poverty.

Occupy.com

Occupy.com is...

…a work in progress.

…a new media channel that will amplify the voices of Occupy. We use media to call for social, economic and environmental justice. We seek to inspire resistance, engagement and the creation of the new world we imagine.

Pachamama Alliance

The Pachamama Alliance works to empower the indigenous people of the Amazon rainforest to preserve their lands and culture and, using insights gained from that work, to educate and inspire individuals everywhere through transformational conversations and experiences to bring forth a thriving, just and sustainable world. We weave together indigenous and modern worldviews such that human beings are in touch with their dignity and are ennobled by the magnificence, mystery and opportunity of what is possible for humanity at this time. This is a commitment to transforming human systems and structures that separate us, and to transforming our relationships with ourselves, with one another, and with the natural world.

PC Foundation

The PC Foundation is a Madison, Wisconsin, based 501 (c) 3 Nonprofit Organization addressing social justice needs of individuals, families and communities through the following:

  • Provide fiscal sponsorship and other types of organizational support to individuals and groups.
  • Provide financial support (grants) to individuals and groups.

People for a New Society

We at PeopleForANewSociety are like so many others, looking for real change and a path to get it. But what's left for us to do? After we've tried 'yes we can' and get 'no you can't' ...after voting for the 'lesser of two evils'& get the lesser evil but no solutions, is it hopeless? Unless we look at alternatives to profit and competition and the way industry & society is run today--from 'above' to benefit a few- it is hopeless! We need to look at the entire economic & civic model and find a way to change it. But how? First we must recognize the present system is unworkable.

PosiPair

We're creating the most comprehensive online source of green business information anywhere.

PosiPair's mission is to support genuinely green businesses by combating greenwashing, strengthening transparency and accountability, and providing the green economy with a web platform designed for its special needs.

Progressive Dane

Progressive Dane is a progressive political party in Dane County, Wisconsin. Progressive Dane believes that ordinary citizens should control public policies at the community and national levels. We support tax justice, better social services, equality in public education, affordable housing, and public transportation. Progressive Dane helps community members organize around issues that are important to them and also works on the grassroots level to elect progressive political candidates.

Rainbow Bookstore Cooperative

Rainbow is Madison’s cooperatively owned and collectively managed bookstore that provides books and resources which challenge the status quo. Founded by a dedicated group of volunteers in 1989, we are a community resource center for activists, scholars, and engaged citizens as well as books lovers of all sorts.

The cooperative is owned by its consumer members, and is currently staffed by several dozen volunteers and two paid staff.  Our collective management style serves as a model for a democratically controlled economy, in opposition to private profit at the expense of community.

WI Positive Business Alliance

We are Wisconsin business people committed to the idea that the purpose of business is to create value, provide opportunities, and serve our communities. Past generations of Wisconsin business leaders invested in an economic model that valued the contributions of workers, cared for working families, and was concerned about human health. Our current generation of business leaders has emphasized concepts of ecological sustainability, clean technology, and fair trade pricing. Yet today Wisconsin faces efforts to take our economy in the opposite direction. Some who claim to speak for Wisconsin business are working to dismantle public services, undermine public schools and colleges, block ecological technologies, and ending a century of labor peace.
